The current trends of globalization and transformation in higher education have created an increasing need for a strong corporate culture, as well as robust visual (brand) and personal (educational actors) identities within modern universities. In this context, it is becoming increasingly important to identify and implement mechanisms for reproducing, transforming, and transmitting the value foundations of university culture, especially through commemorative practices. The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between the value foundations of a university's corporate culture and its commemorative practices, as well as to determine their role in shaping corporate identity. The study employs qualitative methods, including case studies on how Russian universities implement commemorative practices and an online survey conducted among students at Industrial University of Tyumen. The findings of the study indicate that commemorative practices reflect a set of selected core values that are integral to the university’s corporate culture. These values are not static; they result from selective interpretation and are constructed through qualitative analysis.
The study also demonstrates that the impact of commemorative practices on students' value orientations varies, with perceptions influenced by the respondents’ socio-demographic characteristics. The scientific novelty of the study lies in empirically demonstrating the connection between commemorative practices and the value foundations of university corporate culture. The practical significance of the findings lies in their potential use as a toolkit for enhancing memorial strategies and commemorative practices in modern universities, which can strengthen the corporate identity of students, faculty, and administrative staff.

The relationship between Russia and the United States has historically been complex, particularly during the Cold War. Today, these relations remain strained due to several objective factors, with the Special Military Operation that began in 2022 being a significant influence on their current state. As major global powers, both Russia and the United States exert influence through soft and hard power. Consequently, political and socio-economic changes in domestic and foreign policies directly impact the lives of ordinary citizens. Public opinion in Russia regarding the United States has typically mirrored the broader state of bilateral relations. Recently, there has been a notable increase in interest among the Russian public in the diplomatic processes between the two countries. This study aims to explore how Russian citizens—especially the younger generation—perceive Russian-American relations today. The paper analyzes the evolution of modern Russian-American relations, utilizing data from research organizations such as Russian Public Opinion Research Center and Public Opinion Foundation, alongside regional studies and original surveys conducted by the authors of this paper in 2024–2025 among university students. The findings indicate that current relations between Russia and the United States are at a low point, characterized by widespread negative sentiment among Russians toward U.S. policies. The data reveals that dissatisfaction stems primarily from perceptions of the United States’ aggressive foreign policy. Interestingly, young people tend to be more optimistic than the general population regarding the potential for improvement in bilateral relations. Many students believe that U.S. global power, particularly in military strength, increased during Donald Trump's presidency, raising concerns among youth. However, unlike other social groups, young people express a stronger belief in the United States' capacity to help resolve the conflict in Ukraine. These findings shed light on public perceptions of Russian-American relations and illustrate how political developments affect international dynamics and the daily lives of Russian citizens.

Values help us understand human nature, motivations, and behavior in social environments. As both the environment and the values of individuals and social groups constantly change, studying this topic remains relevant. Currently, there is no unified definition of the term "value" due to various scientific approaches. However, all agree that values are the main regulator of human behavior and activity, shaping the direction of society’s development as a whole. This article explores the broad concept of cultural values, involving a values space that spans various aspects of life. Using in-depth interviews the authors conducted a sociological study of values. This study identified the priority cultural values of Russians in a summarized manner. The analysis reveals that passive consumption of new cultural values is priority. Although respondents strive to learn something new they do not take active actions. Consequently, without significant initiatives from the Russian government, traditional russian cultural values may be supplanted by Eastern cultural values and multicultural perspectives.
The proposed paper analyzes the scientific field known as the philosophy of economics. Emerging over a century ago, this philosophy has seen significant development since the late twentieth century, especially in the twenty-first century.
This growth is connected to the increasing importance of its issues in modern society, where a dual understanding of economy and household management becomes crucial in shaping sociocultural ideology. Economics typically focuses on the activities of economic agents aimed at achieving pragmatic purposes — often quantified in monetary terms — while the economic paradigm considers human beings as entities realizing their creative and value potentials.
In the history of Russian and European social sciences, there have been valuable attempts to understand social and economic relations in the context of the dominant spiritual values within societies. In this regard, the theory of economic philosophy inherits key intellectual traditions that explore the meanings, purposes, and values of human creative activity. This paper aims to identify the modern characteristics of the development of economic philosophy, integrating its metaphysical and social dimensions.
The authors argue that today, the philosophy of economy functions not only as a scientific discipline but also as a sociocultural concept that influences the formation of contemporary social consciousness. This occurs amid the rising dominance of civilization values (in contrast to the cultural values) manifested in the confrontation between traditional sociocultural values and material-pragmatic priorities.
